(Cool fact: The alpine pink columbine that appears in the larger box above is a hybrid between the lower elevation crimson columbine and higher elevation alpine columbine. These rare and gorgeous flowers cannot reproduce, and are formed only when a bee happens to carry pollen from one species to the other. God's creation is pretty ingenious!
I have a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens that I use to take photos of flowers and bugs (click to open bug page). Macro photography is lots of fun, and gives a great appreciation for the detail in nature. Oftentimes, it takes patience and several shots to get a good photo of a flower fluttering in the breeze!
