Intro
Established in 2013, Voyager offers sustained climbing on surprisingly clean and solid rock. Each pitch is high-quality, featuring numerous stem corners and hand cracks. Almost all of the belays are at comfortable ledges and the route catches shade most of the day. The route is very popular so expect several parties, even on a weekday.
Nate led the entire route. I might have been down to lead a few selective pitches (Pitch 2, 5, and 7 were my style), but I had sustained a minor tibial plateau fracture 13 days previous, when I unexpectedly came down hard on my leg while cleaning my gutters. I was willing to take the risk of worsening my fracture for the opportunity to climb in Yosemite. And I am glad I did. Voyager is a fantastic route. And my knee seemed no worse for the wear after climbing it.
Nice job Nate for the onsight lead of every pitch. Five 5.11 pitches.
The following page gives overlay, time stats, and pitch-by-pitch photos for the climb. Enjoy!
