Crosier Mountain Crags are located just east of Estes Park in the Big Thompson River Valley. The crags are composed of granite, mostly of good quality and in some places covered with chickenheads and alligator skin type plates. Most of the routes are mixed bolts and gear with a few sport routes and some pure trad lines. The routes are 1-3 pitches in length and most are equipped with rappel anchors. The south-facing exposure makes this an excellent winter crag on a sunny day.

The first time I climbed at Crosier Mountain was in April 2021, at the Main Crag. I climbed at the West Crag in February 2022.

On this page, I give photos from climbing at Crosier Mountain Crags, organized by date. At the bottom of the page, I keep a list of the climbs I've done at Crosier Mountain Crags.

A day checking out Crosier Mountain. Descent climbing on decent rock and no crowds, but nothing spectacular.

More climbing fun!

Climbed at: West Crag
On this day we decided to climb at the West Crag. It was a pleasant sunny winter day, but we ended up climbing just two routes before deciding to call it a day because of the perplexing bolt placements.
