The Ironclads are a group of crags hidden among the trees is Roosevelt National Forest, fifteen miles (as the bird flies) south of Estes Park. The climbs are primarily short, bolted faces of rough granite, ranging in difficulty from 5.5 to 5.12. The rocks lie at elevations 8,500-9,000 feet, and most lines face northwest or west.
The first time I climbed in the Ironclads was in August 2022.
On this page, I give photos from climbing in the Ironclads, organized by date. At the bottom of the page, I keep a list of the climbs I've done in the Ironclads.
